WELCOME TO MOVEABLE FEASTS

The idea for Moveable Feasts was dreamed up around Schmuck in Munich 2010.

Each March this week is a pilgrimage for contemporary jewellery devotees from around Europe and around the world.  The twenty something exhibitions attract jewellers, students, educators, gallerists, critics and collectors and naturally everyone is blinged up for the occasion [even the piggy in the butcher].

As lovers of jewellery the pleasure is often in the wearing.  Joy may lie in the performative act of wearing something provocative; in encounters with strangers experimental adornment can induce;  in having a vessel of meaning accompany us in our day-to-day; or a more tactile enjoyment of something in contact with the body.  This blog is dedicated the practice of wearing jewellery.
